Description
Buddlejas are a genus of many evergreen, semi-evergreen or deciduous shrubs of very variable size, grown for their panicles of small, tubular, usually fragrant flowers which are very attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects. Most are fully hardy and require a position in full sun in a fertile well-drained Black Knight has sweetly scented, long trusses of flower spikes of dark violet-purple on slightly arching branches with lanceolate grey-green leaves, July to October. Prune hard each February when established. Deciduous.
