Anemone Whirlwind

Description

A vigorous but compact perennial with tall stems and relatively large flowers as well as a suckering habit which allows for easy propagation from a single plant. The Anemone ‘Whirlwind’ is a hybrid variety of Japanese Anemone with deep green, divided foliage which sit in mounds beneath tall stems carrying semi-double, pure white flowers with golden yellow centre stamen from late Summer through to the Autumn, providing some great late season displays.

Plant in moderately moist, fertile, well-drained, humus-rich soils and keep in full or partial sun. Can be planted in most positions but heavy, water retentive soils should be avoided as the plant is intolerant of waterlogging and poor drainage, especially during the Winter months.
