Description
Growing as trailing epiphytes in their natural habitat, Aeschynanthus ‘Tornado’ produces long cascading stems with fleshy ovate shaped leaves, with a distinct fuzzy appearance. Species within this genus are commonly called ‘Lipstick plant’, due to their vibrant blooms which emerge in shades of red resembling the shape of a lipstick.
WATERING
In S/S water when 40% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 60%.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect.
FEED
Use a house plant fertiliser every month between April – September.
REPOTTING
Repot every 2-3 years to replenish the soil.
