Description
Selected form of Dogwood with thickets of red stems, and leaves margined and mottled with silver, turning red or orange in autumn before falling. Small, creamy-white nectar and pollen rich flowers early summer which are attractive to bees and other insects, followed in autumn by white, sometimes tinged blue, fruits which are loved by birds. Attractive if planted with other varieties of dogwood. Will make a good informal deciduous hedge. For this purpose plant 60cm (2ft) apart.
