There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing your garden spring to life with strong, upright tulips before most plants have even woken up. Tulip ‘van Eijk’ does just that, it’s one of the first to flower and one of the most rewarding to grow.

These are big tulips, up to 50cm tall, with generous, rounded blooms in a rich, rosy-pink. It’s that slightly unusual colour that makes them really stand out, bold enough to turn heads, but soft enough to blend with other spring favourites.

As a ‘Darwin Hybrid’, ‘van Eijk’ is built for British weather. The stems are thick and sturdy, the blooms resilient, and they tend to last longer than many of the showier types. You’ll get strong, uniform flowers that hold their shape and colour, ideal for gardeners who want reliable results with minimal faff.

They’re great for pots, borders or even cutting. And because they flower in April, they’re brilliant for bridging the seasonal gap between late daffodils and mid-season tulips.
