Description
Here is a perennial that starts the season with real intent! Geum ‘Firestarter’ brings bold, sizzling flower power from spring into autumn, giving borders and patio pots months of punchy colour when gardens need it most.
This hardy, clump-forming perennial produces upright stems packed with ruffled, semi-double blooms above neat green foliage. It looks especially effective at the front of sunny borders, through cottage garden planting, in wildlife-friendly schemes, or in containers where its bright, upright flowers can do all the showing off.
‘Firestarter’ also pulls its weight for pollinators, attracting bees and other beneficial insects during its long flowering season. Grow it in full sun or partial shade, in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, and deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms. Fully hardy and dependable, it reaches around 40 to 50cm high with a similar spread, making it compact enough for smaller spaces but bold enough to stand out in a busy border.
Supplied as a set of three established plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant.
