Herb – Thyme (Standard)

Description

Thyme is an evergreen dwarf shrub with small, fragrant leaves. It will fill the air with a pleasant smell, whilst producing small white flowers that attract pollinators in early Summer.

Famous for its use in cooking, Thyme is an essential garnish for a deeply flavoured soup or stew. It is also exceedingly resilient to roasting, allowing the herb to release the full extent of its sharp, rich and earthy flavour.

Fresh or dried, Thyme will pair well with most meats, including pork, chicken, beef and lamb, and is guaranteed to enhance your meals and sauces.

Suitable for growing both indoor and outdoor, situate it on a sunny kitchen windowsill, a warm patio spot or perhaps use it as an aromatic path edging.

The bush is trained into a standard shape, featuring a unified stem and a bushy top – also called the ‘lollipop’ shape for its visual appearance.
