Description
Mr Fothergill’s Fennel Di Firenze Seeds, Versatile, mild ‘aniseed’ flavour bulbs. The feathery foliage makes an attractive garnish and is good for flavouring many dishes.
Sow outdoors thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep, directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 45cm between rows. Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. Thin seedlings to 20cm apart. Do not allow plants to dry out. As the swollen stems start to develop, build earth up around them to preserve the whiteness and subtle flavour.
