Description
A vigorous twining climber with 3 to 5 lobed, dark green leaves which are evergreen in the warmer south but may drop in colder areas. From spring to autumn it produces exotic looking, large, snow-white flowers which are up to 12cm (5ins) across and remain open for several days. They are highly fragrant and contrast dramatically with the leaves. Occasional yellow-orange fruits will form but these are toxic if not fully ripe.
