Red onions have a sweeter flavour than white or yellow onions, making them perfect for use in summer salads. This Red Baron variety is one of the stronger flavoured red onions and works well in cooked dishes as well as raw.
Red Baron onions tend to mature later than other varieties and can be stored for several months, meaning you can enjoy home grown onions throughout the year. Following harvest, allow the onions to dry in full sun for a couple of days before moving to a cool dark place, such as a garage or shed.
This 8 cell tray is ready to be planted out in beds, borders, pots or containers.
