When January to March.
Where In pots or trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, gently firm seeds into the surface. Do not cover with compost. Cover with glass, polythene or a propagator lid. Keep at 20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough, transplant to individual pots. Grow on at approx. 15°C. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant to minimum 25cm containers or transplant 20cm apart in growing position. Keep well watered.
Harvest August to October. These perennial plants will fruit for several years.
