Description

Commonly known as Elephant’s Ears, Bergenia Bressingham Ruby is a clump forming evergreen perennial that adds year-round interest to the garden. Its striking magenta flowers bloom in early spring while the green foliage takes on a beautiful red hue during autumn and winter.

With a maximum height and width of 0.5m, Begenia Bressingham Ruby is ideal for covering ground, filling gaps in shrubbery and planting in flower beds. The plant will reach is full maturity and growth within around 2-5 years.

Bergenia Bressingham is a relatively low maintenance plant that will withstand cold temperatures and frost. It is vigorous and tolerant of poor soil but thrives in soil rich in organic nutrients and grows best in a moist environment with excellent drainage.
