Description
Perlite is a volcanic glass that is heated to 1,600 degrees F. (871 C.) The little balls pop much like popcorn, expanding to 13 times its former size, resulting in an incredibly lightweight material. The super-heated perlite is comprised of tiny air compartments. Under a microscope, perlite is revealed as being covered with many tiny cells that absorb. This makes it particularly useful in producing moisture to plant roots.
The Perlite is created by many high quality chemicals such as: Chemicals included in producing the product: Around 70-75% Silicon Dioxide, Aluminium Oxide (12-15%), Sodium Oxide (3-4%), Potassium Oxide (3-5%), Iron Oxide (0.5-2%),Magnesium Oxide (0.2-0.7%) and Calcium Oxide (0.5-1.5%)
