Description
Sow seeds indoors from November to February.
Surface sow onto fine, well-drained seed compost and cover with approximately 10mm of vermiculite.
Maintain a temperature of around 20c for best germination. Seeds usually emerge within 10-20 days.
Once seedlings appear, grow on at a cooler temperature of about 15c in a bright position.
When large enough to handle, prick out into individual pots.
Harden off carefully and plant outdoors after the risk of frost has passed.
Space plants 30cm apart in a sunny, well-drained position.
Provide suitable support such as a trellis, arch, or fence for the plants to climb.
