Herbal Leys present a number of advantages over typical grass-clover leys. Vetch improves soil fertility, the large number of flowers provide for pollinators, and the variety leads to better carbon capture, helping the environment. A diverse forage reduces the need for supplements. Protein from legumes, energy from grasses, micronutrients from herbs form a highly nutritious mix.
Herbal Leys are good for the wallet too- natural fertilisers lower manufactured fertiliser cost, sainfoin acts as a natural pesticide, and varying root depths help protect against drought, a common source of pasture loss (and money loss!).
This Mix is sold by acre coverage, with 1 Acre being 13KG of seed.
