Description
Narcissus Bittern is a variety of bulbous perennial daffodil with beautiful yellow petals and a delicate, frilled, bright orange corona.
Blooming throughout March and April these joyful bulbs will grow to a height of around 35cm/14. This makes them perfect for filling out the front of beds or borders, around shrubs, under deciduous trees or in naturalised areas. For the best visual results, plant in informal groups for a fantastic splash of uplifting colour, when planted en masse.
Daffodils such as Bittern are fully hardy in the UK and will thrive in full sun or partial shade, in well-drained but moist, humus rich soil. Avoid very dry areas such as under conifers and plant at a depth and spread of 10cm/4?.
The foliage should be allowed to die naturally as early removal can cause the bulb not to flower in the following year.
