Vriesea fosteriana ‘Red Chestnut’

Description

Categorised within a genus known for its striking foliage, the Vriesea fosteriana ‘Red Chestnut’ does not fail to deliver. Bold, geometric and boldly patterned leaves begin their life with a beautifully red tint that eventually fades to a rich, deep green as the plant matures.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. Water in rosette once a week.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

Use a balanced house plant fertiliser once a month between May – September.

REPOTTING

Repot when the mother plant has produced sizeable pups at the base of the plant, divide pups and plant them separately into well draining house plant compost. Repot and divide in warmer months.
