Aspidistra elatior ‘Milky Way’

Description

The Aspidistra’s large, dark and glossy paddle shaped leaves are shade tolerant making it a great plant for transforming a forgotten corner in your home. Native to southern Japan, the ‘cast iron’ plant is highly sought after for its particularly easy going nature. The ‘Milky Way’ variety is named so due to its unique markings, with small white dots covering the surface of each leaf. This variety grows even slower than usual, making it a particularly rare find.

WATERING

Throughout the year allow soil to dry out 40%. Less light, less water.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Indirect light, shade tolerant.

FEED

Use a house plant fertiliser every month between April – September.

REPOTTING

Repot every 2-3 years.
