Huperzia nummulariifolia

Description

Also known as the ‘Tassel Fern,’ this unusual epiphyte is not your average houseplant. Native to the tropical rainforests of South-East Asia, this rare and unique plant has rope-like trailing stems featuring glossy green leaves that resemble scales. Huperzias require high humidity, so they’re ideal plants for a bright bathroom.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 30%. Likes humidity.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

Use a house plant fertiliser 2-3 times between April – September.

REPOTTING

Repot every 2-3 years in a free-draining compost mix.
