Description
Glossy, leathery heart-shaped leaves of Alocasia ‘Golden Bone’ emerge deep green before turning dark purple, making for one of the most dramatic looking Alocasia. Green-yellow stems and venation highlight the deep red leaf undersides.
WATERING
In S/S water when 30% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 70%. Avoid watering too close to the stem of the plant as it is fleshy and can be susceptible to stem rot.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect. This Alocasia likes a lot of light but nothing too scorching. A West or East facing window is perfect, if south facing just watch out on those very sunny days.
FEED
Use a houseplant fertiliser every 2 – 4 weeks from April – October.
REPOTTING
Repot roughly every 1-1.5 years when there has been active growth. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite or grit.
