Meconopsis Blue

Also known as Himalayan Poppies, Meconopsis Blue are summer flowering plants with lush green foliage. The flowers bloom at the top of tall stems for weeks before releasing their poppy seed and dying back until the following spring.

This bee friendly poppy plant brings colour and interest to the garden, returning year after year. Meconopsis Blue is most commonly used to add height to borders and flower beds, but it also grows well in pots and containers.

Blue poppy plants are ideal garden plants for shaded areas and are well suited to underplanting trees and shrubs. They flourish in areas with cooler summers and prefer a sheltered spot in partial shade.
