Description
This deciduous shrub is a disease resistant cross between gooseberry and blackcurrant fruit bushes, bred to meet the demand for a gooseberry-type fruit plant with thornless stems.
Jostaberry bears dark green leaves and small red-tinted flowers that appear in April, to then be followed by edible, delicious fruit in July. Prone to a high yield harvest. The berries’ flavour is described as a mix between the sweet flavoured gooseberry and blackcurrant’s earthy tartness.
