Alocasia ‘Reptile’

Description

The leathery leaves of Alocasia ‘Reptile’ first emerge in pale green, stamped with their recognisable, intricate pattern. As the leaves mature they deepen in colour and become silver and blue, while their pattern makes the leaves tough and scaly in texture.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 70%.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

Use a houseplant fertiliser every 2 – 4 weeks from April – October.

REPOTTING

Repot every 2-3 years when roots begin to protrude out of the drainage holes. Use a well draining house plant potting mix, with added draining medium like perlite.
