Description
Native to the Philippines, and commonly known as ‘Rose Grape’, Medinilla magnifica is a flowering epiphyte. Its deep green leaves are almost leathery in texture, with pale green veins running through. Their bright pink flowers appear in abundance during spring and summer months in arching panicles.
WATERING
In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. Requires high humidity but avoid misting its blooms.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect.
FEED
Use a house plant fertiliser every month between April – September.
REPOTTING
Size up in pot once roots begin to creep through drainage holes. Use Orchid compost.
