Description
A fascinating evergreen plant with purple young shoots with dark green shiny leaves which have a creamy-white margin and extremely prickly spines, not only on the leaf margins, but also on the leaf surface. Plenty of nectar rich tiny white flowers in late spring which are loved by bees. A male form so it will not have berries but will create a very dense, prickly hedge, which is shade tolerant, retaining the bright variegation in shade, or a colourful shrub.
