Description

Fuchsia ‘Sunray’ is a semi-evergreen, hardy shrub with a fast-growing, spreading habit. This truly attractive Fuchsia displays unusual, variegated cream, green and red-flushed foliage. It acts as a show-stopping backdrop to the pretty, bell-shaped flowers that have reddish-pink buds and open to reveal a plush purple corolla. This variety is low-growing and ideal for planting in containers but equally suitable for planting in the garden border to allow to grow progressively over the years.

It prefers moist, well drained soil and is hardy, but may need protection from the worst of the frosts. Plant in full sun or partial shade. During the growing season water regularly. Pinch out the growing tips of your fuchsia plants once, to promote bushier growth and more flowers. The variegated leaves will remain on the plant through the winter if left unpruned. Cut back to the permanent framework in early spring.
