These mushroom kits are perfect for growing your own mushrooms for use in cooking. They add flavour and texture to many meals, including stir fries, pizzas, soups, omelettes and pasta dishes. Mushrooms are considered to be a superfood, due to their high nutritional value. They are packed with protein, fibre and antioxidants and are low in calories.
The kit includes everything you need to successfully grow mushrooms. All you need to do is add water as per the instructions. The packaging is waterproof so there will be no mess or spillages to clean up. Let the product settle on the first day then add 10cl of water on day 2. Replace the lid until day 9, when you should begin lightly watering the the soil every other day until the mushrooms are ready to harvest. Note that not much water is required – a light spray will be enough to maintain optimum moisture levels.
The first harvest can be expected in just 3 weeks, so you won’t have long to wait before the flavoursome mushrooms are ready to eat. Choose between brown Cremini and white Button mushrooms – or grow both!
