Description
Lupinus Masterpiece is a clump-forming, vigorous, perennial with sturdy stems and mid-green leaves. From late spring into early summer, erect spikes of densely packed, purple with orange flecked flowers will appear. The flowers open up from the bottom over several weeks and new pale green buds are produced at the its bold amethyst purple colouring, this new variety looks impressive featured in garden borders or when planted with other blue and pink flowering plants. Not only their colour but also their fine textured foliage will provide interest and structure to bedding areas and look stunning in patio containers.
Provide a sheltered location to protect your Lupines from winds or stake the flowers well with bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear. Deadhead regularly to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect the young plants from slug and snail attacks.
