Description
Sow the seeds on the surface of moist compost and lightly cover with vermiculite.
Place in a warm area at a constant temperature of 22c.
Germination is improved when the night temperature is dropped to 15-18c.
The seeds will germinate in 14-28 days but can be erratic.
If the seeds havent germinated, keep at a temperature of 10c for one week before putting it back to 22c.
Once the seedlings are 5-7cm, transplant into individual pots.
Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
Plant out once the risk of frost has passed in their final position, 60cm apart.
