Description
Sow seeds from late May to June in modules or trays undercover.
Sow 1cm deep in moist seed compost and lightly cover.
Keep soil moist and the seeds should germinate in 7-14 days.
Pot on seedlings once large enough to handle, maintaining bright, cool conditions.
Transplant outdoors from mid-June to mid-July.
Space plants 40-50cm apart in rows 50-60 cm apart.
Harvest from October to January when heads are firm, dense, and well-formed.
