Description
Coccaloba uvifera has large, leathery plate-shaped leaves which turn from deep green to red as they age. Sometimes known as ‘Sea Grape’ due to its salt tolerance, this Buckwheat relative will thrive in a bright spot, and (if you’re lucky) may even provide you with edible fruits!
WATERING
In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. Dislikes draughts.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect.
REPOTTING
Repot every two years into fresh houseplant compost.
FEED
Use a balanced houseplant fertiliser once a month from May – September.
