Escallonia Pink Elle grow well in pots and containers and are beautiful all year round plants for garden design. These patio trees are ideal cottage garden plants and are perfect for brightening up patios, driveways and terraces, as well as flanking entrances.

These attractive evergreen trees are often grown as garden shrubs. However, trained into a patio tree shape, they make an excellent addition to any garden. Patio trees provide height and structure to an outdoor space.

Escallonia Pink Elle boasts glossy green, ovate leaves throughout the year. Large clusters of small, long-lasting, mid-pink flowers decorate the foliage through summer and autumn.

This patio tree is hardy in milder parts of the UK, tolerating temperatures as low as -5°C. Additional insulation is needed during the winter months to protect the roots against frost damage. Excallonia Pink Elle thrives in moist, well-draining soil and is happy in most soil types. Like all plants, pot-grown specimens do need to be watered more frequently. This potted tree tolerates partial shade but flourishes best placed in full sun.
