Description
Acanthus Whitewater, known commonly as Bear’s breeches, is a stunning herbaceous perennial with a vigorous, upright growing habit and large, dark-green and white variegated leaves. In Summer, this plant produces tall purple bracts adorned with white, trumpet-shaped flowers.
Acanthus are wonderful, low maintenance plants. They can tolerate full sun to full shade, but will flower most prolifically in full or partial sun. This plant requires good drainage and thrives best in a deep, fertile soil, but will tolerate most soil types and conditions.
