Description

Katsura is a beautiful Japanese Maple shrub with bright, colourful foliage that changes throughout the summer months. It is a slow growing deciduous shrub with a bushy and upright growing habit, and carries bright, colourful leaves that range from orange with reddish pink variegation in the spring, fading to green before brightening to a fiery combination of yellow, red and orange in the summer.

‘Katsura’ is a slow growing variety that thrives best in sun or partial shade, and should be sheltered to protect it from harsher winds, which may cause leaf scorch. Light, well-drained soil is advised alongside a top layer of well-balanced fertiliser around the base.
