Description
With tall stems carrying lightly coloured flowers high above the dark, contrasting foliage beneath, the Agapanthus ‘Ballerina’ is a great choice of perennial for a bright, standout garden. This variety of African Lily grows mounds of glossy, strap-like deep green leaves which sit beneath the towering stalks which carry rounded umbels of tubular to trumpet-shaped light blue flowers around late Summer through to early and mid-Autumn.
Grows well in most well-drained soils. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position or as a container plant in colder regions which may then be moved under glass in the Winter months. Water well during growing and flowering seasons. May die back in colder regions but fresh growth will be seen the following Spring.
