Description
Allium ‘Bulgaricum’ is one of those plants that always gets attention in your garden, and for good reason! Its graceful, architectural and just that little bit different from the usual alliums you see.
The flowers are bell-shaped in a blend of creamy green and dusky pink. What makes them really special is the way they hang down in an elegant cascade, like tiny lanterns.
This variety grows strongly to around 90cm tall, forming a slender but sturdy stem that holds the blooms high above the surrounding foliage. Its brilliant for weaving among grasses, hardy perennials or meadow planting. And because its so attractive to bees and butterflies, its doing real good in your garden too.
Plant the bulbs in autumn, forget about them, and theyll reward you year after year. Theyll even multiply over time if left undisturbed. They cope well with drought and are fully hardy, so its a great choice for low-maintenance gardeners.
