Description
Also known as the Giant Taro, the Alocasia macrorrhiza can indeed grow to giant proportions, with leaves often reaching over two metres wide! No need to worry though, this can only be achieved when in its natural habitat of the warm and steamy rainforests of Southeast Asia and parts of Australia. That being said, it is still one of the most dramatic plants for the home, often used as a stand alone statement specimen.
