Aloe plicatilis

Description

These striking fan aloes grow as shrubs on the mountains along the Western Cape of Africa. Aloe plicatilis will form a multi-branched bush of up to two meters wide in cultivation, with bright orange and yellow flower stalks typically emerging in winter.

WATERING

In Summer water thoroughly only when 100% of the soil has dried out. A/W allow soil to dry 100% – water sparingly (every two months). Spring gradually increase watering – depending on temp and light exposure.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Full sun.

REPOTTING

Repotting is only necessary if and when the offsets have filled the pot, otherwise it can stay in the same pot for many years.

FEED

Use a cactus fertiliser 2-3 times a year.
