Description
Known commonly as East Indian Holly Fern or Variegated Shield Fern, Arachniodes aristatas are among the few hardy ferns with variegated foliage. The Arachniodes aristata is an ornamental, evergreen fern that produces glossy, forest green fronds with distinctive golden yellow midribs. This fern is best suited as a border plant or as ground cover under trees, as it thrives well in shaded locations.
Plant in moist, well drained soil. Keep in partial or full shade. Prefers neutral to slightly acidic soil, however it is not fussy. Direct sun may cause scorch damage to this plant.
