Description
Rich, show stopping, purple coloured leaves make this a very attractive plant as well as a very useful herb. It has an uplifting, punchy, clove-like flavour which is good in many dishes, but also makes a wonderful purple pesto. Pinch out the flowers to aid leaf production. It is tender and grows well outside in warmer weather in full sun or partial shade in moist but well drained soil, but also grows well inside in a sunny position all year round.
