Description
The Begonia rex Spitfire is an indoor plant with very fiery looking foliage. This is largely down to the shade of deep red that covers the vast majority of each individual leaf. Outside of that, there are two borders that make up the final appearance of the plants foliage – one inner border of cream colouring, closely followed by the same deep red as a marginal outer border. Adding this into any home, office, window sill, bathroom or other indoor space will bring the clustered leaves together to show off all of its eye-catching colour in the one space. The King Begonia, as its more commonly known, will also benefit the area around it through the use of its air-purifying qualities – these remove harmful pollutants and unwanted toxins. Partial shade and no direct sunlight is best for the plant, as well as watering it when the soil is dry to touch. Once a week will suffice up until the plants dormant period of Winter when you can lower this to once every two weeks.
