Description
Bushy shrub with masses of small white flowers in spring followed by lustrous black fruits like large blackcurrants with very high vitamin C content. These can be used in a similar way to was awarded the R.H.S. Award of Merit as an ornamental shrub so would look good in an ornamental border with its atrtractive flowers and wonderful autumn colouring, its leaves turning shades of brilliant orange and red. The flowers areattractive to bees. Any soil except shallow chalk. Grows to 90cm – 1.5m (3 – 5ft). Self-fertile. Plant 1.5m (5ft) apart.
