Description
Blechnum penna-marina, known commonly as Alpine Water Fern, is a hardy evergreen perennial. The fern has a low growing, mat forming habit, making it the perfect plant for groundcover in a shaded area. The plants foliage has a leathery texture and emerges as a red colour before maturing to a dark green.
Plant in moist, well drained, acidic soil. Keep in full to partial shade. Keep well watered throughout spring and summer.
