Description
Vaccinium ‘Darrow’ is an upright, bushy shrub that produces an abundance of blueberries during the autumn. The leaves of this plant are bright green througout the summer and are accompanied by small white flowers with pinkish overtones. The brances begin to produce large crops of massive succulent blueberries towards the end of August and can be picked late into the season. These sweet tasting fruits can be eaten right off the vine and are commonly used to make jams, sweets, juices and desserts. ‘Darrow’ is tolerant of most soil conditions so long as it is well drained, and it loves being in a fully sunny or partially shady position. This plant is self-pollinating but can be planted in groups to acheive a higher yield.
