Description
Fast growing, native, thorny, deciduous plant. Slender silvery leaves, masses of orange-yellow berries on female plants in autumn if they have been pollinated by non-berrying male plants. Edible berries high in vitamin C last all winter and can be used in marmalade or provide good food for birds. Can be very invasive if planted on or near sand dunes, so it should not be planted near such areas. Well drained soil.<
