Description
Buddleia Candy Lila Sweetheart are charming dwarf buddleia garden shrubs with dense foliage. From July to September these real plants are covered in panicles of small lilac-purple flowers with bright yellow centres. These are highly scented plants with each little bloom is bursting with nectar. This makes small flowering shrubs irresistible to pollinators such as bees and butterflies – hence the plant’s common name of Butterfly Bush.
This is a low maintenance outdoor plant that is easy to grow. Planted in a sunny spot where the soil is moist but well-drained, buddleia candy lila sweetheart is relatively undemanding. A light annual pruning in spring is enough to maintain the shrub’s neat shape and encourage plenty of fresh new growth.
Buddleia candy lila sweetheart make ideal bed and border shrubs, but its compact size makes it a great choice for growing in an outdoor plant pot.
