Description
Callistemon ‘Inferno’ also known as Bottlebrush is an interesting and uniquely styled shrub thanks to its clusters of flower spikes that resemble bristled brushes, which is where it gets its name. The flowers spikes appear in late Spring atop upright stalk which stand above leathery, rich green leaves. The foliage also provides interesting colours closer to the Autumn months, gaining a tinge of orange-red. The Australian Bottlebrush grows nicely in coastal areas and is ideal as a potted patio plant.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun. Keep sheltered from Winter frosts and high winds. Tolerant of drier soils and coastal areas.
