Description
Start the seeds indoors from February-April.
Alternatively, sow directly outdoors from May-July.
Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of moist and press in.
Dont cover as light aids germination.
Keep at a temperature of 16-18c until germination occurs.
Seeds will usually germinate within 14-21 days.
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots.
Grow on in bright light, keeping the compost just moist.
Gradually acclimatise the plants to outdoor conditions before planting out.
Plant out after the risk of frost has passed into their final flowering position.
Choose a sunny, well-drained site for best growth and flowering.
Space plants about 20-25cm apart.
Water regularly during dry spells until established, but avoid waterlogging.
Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continued blooming throughout the season.
