Growing Instructions
Loosen and remove any rocks from the soil.
Avoid freshly-manured soil as this can produce hairy, rough roots and will cause forks and splits.
Directly sow the seeds outside on moist soil, when the temperature is 12c+.
Lightly cover the seeds and water as necessary. Germination should occur between 10-20 days.
Around 1 week after the seedlings have germinated, thin them to 3-5cm apart
As the seedlings grow, eventually thin them to 10cm.
Dispose of thinned seedlings to avoid attracting carrot fly.
Regularly weed and water the area.
Put soil around the tops to prevent green crowns.
If carrot fly is an issue then with a fleece or fine netting.
