How to Grow Early Nantes Carrots:
Sow: March–July directly into well-prepared, stone-free soil
Depth: Sow thinly at about 1 cm deep in rows 15–30 cm apart
Germination: 10–21 days depending on soil temperature; keep soil evenly moist
Thin: When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 5–8 cm apart for full-size roots
Harvest: Approximately 12–16 weeks after sowing; harvest earlier for baby carrots
Tips:
Remove stones and clods for straight roots.
Successional sowings every 2–3 weeks extend the harvest.
Mulch in dry periods to keep soil moisture even and reduce bolting.
